About the Project

The large 7-segment display clock project is designed to provide accurate timekeeping with additional features. The heart of the system is a series of decade counter ICs(74192) connected to a 1 Hz clock source, dividing the time into seconds, minutes, and hours. The time is displayed on a large, legible 7-segment display. The system includes a mains-powered supply for reliability and a mechanism for users to set the time accurately. Additionally, a beeper circuit is integrated to produce a beep every 15 minutes, serving as a convenient timekeeping feature. The system has been modified to display time in a 12-hour format. The project aims to be a versatile and functional timekeeping solution suitable for various applications, including those where the display needs to be visible from a considerable distance.
