THE PROJECT: 12-HOUR DIGITAL CLOCK

Digital System Design

Welcome to my Digital System Design project website.

The Logisim schematic represents our team's version of the project. The system involved the use of seven 7-segment displays, 2 for the hour display, 2 for for the minute display, 2 for the second display and the final one to indicate whether it is AM or PM, since it is a 12-hour clock. There are 4 buttons used for setting the time. B1 to set the hour, B2 to set the minute. B3 to set the second and B4 to set the hour, minute and second simultaneously. Turning on a particular button before using B4 would change the other 2 variables with buttons that are off. For example, if B2 is on while using button B4, only the hour and second will be set simultaneously. The last feature of the clock is the 15 minute beep. Every 15 minutes, the led lights up and the buzzer goes off. This occurs every 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
