Project

This is a collaborative project focused on creating a 7-segment display clock using decade counters. The circuit and PCB design were crafted using EasyEDA, a powerful tool for schematic capture and PCB design. For circuit simulation, Proteus was employed to ensure comprehensive testing and validation of the design.

Tool Utilization

Components

IC 4026: The heart of our project, IC 4026, is a versatile decade counter with seven-segment display drivers. It played a crucial role in counting and displaying the time accurately on the 7-segment displays.

IC 555: The IC 555, a popular timer IC, contributed to the precision of our clock circuit. Its stability and reliability were harnessed to create accurate timing pulses for our clock.

IC 7411: IC 7411, a triple 3-input AND gate, was integrated into the design to enhance logical operations and ensure seamless signal processing.

Resistors, Diodes, and Capacitors: These passive components were carefully selected and placed to regulate voltage, control current, and manage signal flow, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

Push Button: The push button served as a user-friendly interface, allowing users to interact with the clock, such as setting the time or toggling between modes.

Transformer: The transformer played a crucial role in power supply, converting and regulating the electrical input to meet the specific requirements of our circuit.

LEDs: Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) were incorporated for visual feedback, indicating the active state and providing a clear display of the time.

LD1117DT12: This voltage regulator ensured a stable and reliable power supply for our electronic components, preventing fluctuations that could affect the performance of the circuit.
